Englewood's population declined from 97,000 in 1960 to roughly 30,000 by 2010 within its 3 square-mile area on Chicago's South Side. The community, bordered by Garfield Boulevard and 75th Street with Racine Avenue to the west, faces significant property foreclosure issues.
