Garfield Ridge Residents Gather for Monthly CAPS Meeting as Neighborhood Watch Celebrates 17 Years

The Garfield Ridge Neighborhood Watch is inviting residents to attend their upcoming CAPS combined meeting scheduled for Tuesday, October 21st at St. Faustina Ward Hall from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. This community gathering offers neighbors a chance to connect while discussing local concerns with representatives from the 8th District Chicago Police Department, Midway Chamber of Commerce, and aldermanic offices from the 23rd and 13th wards.

In other community news, local business Nicky V's recently expanded its operations with a new location in nearby Bedford Park, bringing owner Nick Versetto back to his roots while growing his award-winning restaurant brand. The expansion represents continued economic development for the Southwest Side area. Additionally, U.S. Rep. Jesús "Chuy" García announced that Midway Airport, a cornerstone of the Garfield Ridge neighborhood, will receive $35 million in federal funding aimed at improving safety measures at the facility.
