Pita Inn Set to Open First Chicago Location at Six Corners in Portage Park

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Portage Park ·

Exciting developments are coming to Portage Park's Six Corners shopping district as several new businesses prepare to transform the former Sears Auto Center site at 4035 N. Cicero Ave. Pita Inn restaurant, Burlington department store, and a Wells Fargo branch will be built as standalone structures at the location, according to plans announced by the Six Corners Chamber of Commerce.

The development marks a significant milestone for Pita Inn, as this will be the popular Mediterranean-style restaurant's first Chicago location after establishing five suburban locations including Skokie and Glenview. Known for its delicious Mediterranean cuisine, Pita Inn will enhance the diverse culinary offerings in the neighborhood. The project, led by Novak Construction, is slated to begin this year with completion estimated for fall or winter of 2026.

This initiative represents a significant advancement in the ongoing revitalization of Six Corners, transforming it into a vibrant destination for local residents and a premier shopping district. Over the past two years, multiple new developments have come to the area, including The Clarendale senior living facility, 6 Corners Lofts, Aldi and Target. Residents are encouraged to attend upcoming community meetings to learn more about these exciting changes and how they can support local businesses in our thriving neighborhood.
