Garfield Ridge Gears Up for Halloween with Community Events as Chicago Fall Fest Returns

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Garfield Ridge ·

Chicago's citywide Fall Fest is returning this year with hundreds of community events from October 17 through November 2, aiming to provide residents with safe, celebratory activities during the Halloween season. The initiative, announced by Mayor Brandon Johnson, ensures all Chicago youth and residents can enjoy a festive fall season.

Garfield Ridge residents can mark their calendars for several community events, including the upcoming Garfield Ridge Neighborhood Watch general meeting scheduled for Tuesday, October 21st at St. Faustina Ward Hall, 5151 S. McVicker Ave. The meeting, like all GRNW sponsored events, is free of charge and open to the public. Additionally, Garfield Park will host a special Fall-4-All event on October 27th, in partnership with the Garfield Park Rite to Wellness organization. These community gatherings, known as "Kickbacks," are planned and hosted by local youth employees focused on engaging other young people and families in their neighborhoods.

"Chicago Fall Fest will be a celebration of our residents' creativity, culture, and connections," said Mayor Johnson. "Through this series, my administration continues our commitment to engaging young people in safe, welcoming, and accessible spaces for them to thrive." Residents interested in learning more about these and other upcoming events are encouraged to visit ChicagoFallFest.org for complete details and to discover additional neighborhood activities throughout the season.
