By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Galewood ·

Galewood residents now have access to advanced healthcare services with the opening of the new Rush North and Harlem outpatient center at Harlem and Wabansia Avenue. The $70 million, 60,000-square-foot medical facility officially opens its doors this month following years of development at the former Sears store site.

The state-of-the-art center features 90 examination rooms offering primary care, urgent care, imaging, diagnostics, and various medical specialties to serve the Galewood community. 'It really provides an opportunity to have quality healthcare services right in the neighborhood,' said 29th Ward Alderman Chris Taliaferro, who has supported the project since its inception. The facility includes nearly 200 surface parking spaces and is strategically positioned to serve residents in neighboring Oak Park, Elmwood Park, and River Forest as well.

Galewood community members are invited to visit the center and explore its services starting this month. For more information about specific services or to schedule appointments, residents can contact Rush directly at 877-632-6637. The facility represents a significant healthcare investment in the West Side community and aims to improve access to quality medical care for area residents.
