By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/North Center ·

North Center residents can look forward to new housing and retail options as construction permits have been issued for multiple developments along the neighborhood's commercial corridors. Most recently, a five-story mixed-use building at 3664 N. Lincoln Avenue has filed zoning applications, set to bring 16 new apartments and ground-floor retail space to the area.

This development joins several other recently approved projects in North Center, including a larger 37-unit mixed-use development at 2035 W. Irving Park Road which received its full building permit this summer. Additionally, construction is moving forward on a four-story building at 4309 N. Lincoln Avenue, which will add 12 more apartments and retail options to the neighborhood.

These new developments reflect North Center's continued appeal as a vibrant Chicago neighborhood known for its family-friendly atmosphere, walkability, and community spirit. Residents particularly value the diverse food scene, peaceful parks, and overall safety of the area. Neighbors are encouraged to attend upcoming community meetings where developers will share more details about construction timelines and retail opportunities.
