Ravenswood Costume Crawl Returns with Spooky Sips and Treats Along Montrose Avenue

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Ravenswood ·

The Ravenswood neighborhood is set to transform into a Halloween wonderland as the annual Ravenswood Costume Crawl returns on Wednesday, October 29th, from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. This popular event invites costumed attendees to explore local businesses along Montrose Avenue while enjoying a variety of treats, drinks, and festive Halloween fun.

The crawl will kick off at Teddy's Ice Cream at 2000 W Montrose Ave, where participants can check in to receive their wristbands, punch cards, swag bags, and maps before embarking on their neighborhood adventure. Attendees will then explore various participating local businesses, sampling desserts, snacks, and beverages along the route. Adding to the excitement, one lucky participant will win a bottle of Malört, Chicago's infamous local liqueur.

The event serves as both a celebration of Halloween spirit and an opportunity to discover and support the diverse mix of restaurants, taverns, and shops that make Montrose Avenue a vibrant commercial corridor. Last year's Crawl was reportedly filled with "good vibes, killer costumes, and lots of friendly faces," setting high expectations for this year's festivities. Ravenswood residents and visitors alike are encouraged to don their most creative costumes and join in this community celebration that perfectly captures the neighborhood's tight-knit and festive atmosphere.
