New Mixed-Use Building to Transform Vacant Bronzeville Site with Artist Spaces and Performance Venue

A long-vacant site in the heart of Bronzeville will soon be transformed with artist live/work spaces, a restaurant, and a performance venue following a City land sale approved by City Council on October 16. The development will take place on a .52-acre property at 452-56 E. 47th St. and 4640-52 S. Vincennes Ave., which will be sold to Revere Properties Development LLC.
The $21.5 million project will feature a five-story building with a public plaza along the sidewalk. The ground level will house a restaurant, cocktail bar, and a 42-seat screening room, while the second floor will include a performance space with seating for 190 patrons. This development continues the ongoing revitalization efforts in Bronzeville, adding much-needed cultural space and housing options to the neighborhood. The groundbreaking date has not yet been announced, but construction is anticipated to begin in early 2026.
