North Center to Welcome HydraVault's Cutting-Edge AI Data Center as Construction Set to Begin Next Month

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/North Center ·

HydraVault will begin construction this fall on a Tier 3-compatible data center in Chicago, designed specifically for artificial intelligence, machine learning, and low-latency financial trading. The company estimates the facility will be ready for user buildout by 2026.

The new facility represents a significant technological advancement for the North Center area, as it will be one of Chicago's first purpose-built data centers engineered specifically for next-generation computing needs. With AI workloads expected to grow 3.5 times by 2030 and projected to account for 70% of total data center demand, this strategically located facility will serve the region's most demanding compute users. "Training, inferencing, financial services, and medical research, among other industries, are accelerating faster than the infrastructure designed to support them," said Scott D. Greenberg, Founder of HydraVault. "We've designed – and will build – a city centre AI factory for the future."

North Center residents interested in learning more about the project and its potential impact on the neighborhood's technology landscape are encouraged to attend the upcoming community information session scheduled for early November. The meeting will address questions about construction timelines, employment opportunities, and how this development fits into Chicago's emerging reputation as a Midwest technology hub.
