Bucktown's 'Art in the Park' Pop-Up Gallery Transforms Holstein Park for Halloween Weekend
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Bucktown ·
The Bucktown Arts Fest organization, known for their all-volunteer neighborhood arts festival that supports arts education, is bringing creativity to Holstein Park with a special Halloween weekend event. The volunteer-run group, which typically hosts their main festival in August, is extending their community impact with this seasonal pop-up gallery.
The 'Art in the Park' Halloween pop-up will feature local artists displaying seasonally-themed works, a dedicated children's art area, live musical entertainment, and food vendors from the neighborhood. As with their main festival, proceeds from this special event will directly benefit arts education programming throughout the Bucktown neighborhood. Organizers have invited twenty selected local artists to showcase their work in specially constructed outdoor gallery spaces, with indoor options available in case of inclement weather. The family-friendly event will also include pumpkin painting stations and costume-friendly art activities for children of all ages.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to attend the free event running Saturday and Sunday, October 26-27, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Holstein Park. Local businesses around the park will offer special promotions for attendees, creating a neighborhood-wide celebration of arts and community. For more information or to volunteer, visit the Bucktown Arts Fest website or their social media channels.
