Lincoln Park Art Night Returns This November with Free Shuttle Service Between Five Local Galleries

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Lincoln Park ·

Art enthusiasts in Lincoln Park have a special cultural treat to look forward to this November as the annual Lincoln Park Art Night prepares to transform the neighborhood into a vibrant arts destination. Five unique art venues—DePaul Art Museum, gallery 1871, Madron Gallery, Art on Sedgwick, and Leslie Wolfe Gallery—are collaborating for this celebration of the area's thriving arts scene on Thursday, November 14, from 5:30 to 8:30 PM.

The free event offers a distinctive neighborhood experience with luxury sprinter vans providing hop-on/hop-off service between venues throughout the evening. At DePaul Art Museum, visitors can explore "Edgar Miller: Anti-Modern, 1917-1967," while gallery 1871 presents "Luminous Grace," featuring mixed media paintings and hand-carved paper sculptures. Madron Gallery's exhibition highlights Depression Era artists Berenece Berkman-Hunter and Ethel Spears, showcasing different artistic approaches from the period.

This collaborative initiative represents the growing recognition of Lincoln Park as an art destination that's often overlooked in Chicago's cultural landscape. Residents and visitors are encouraged to register online at BIT.LY/LPAN2024, though registration is not required to participate. The event is supported by partners including Michael Garzel Graphic Design + Photography, Old Town Merchants & Residents Association, and the Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce, underscoring the community's commitment to promoting local arts and culture.
