CAVA Mediterranean Restaurant Opens Doors in Willis Tower, Bringing Fresh Flavors to West Loop
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/West Loop ·
Mediterranean cuisine enthusiasts in the West Loop have a new culinary destination to explore as CAVA officially opened its doors this week at Willis Tower. The popular fast-casual restaurant brand's seventh Chicago-area location occupies a prominent 3,156-square-foot space at the main entrance on Jackson Boulevard, marking its first venture into Chicago's Loop district.
CAVA joins the growing collection of eateries at Catalog, the 300,000-square-foot dining, retail, and entertainment complex at the base of the iconic skyscraper. 'CAVA's concept of serving satisfying flavors rooted in Mediterranean hospitality and human connection make us a great fit for Catalog at Willis Tower, where Chicagoans can gather for a shared meal,' said Gino Carlin, Regional Director at CAVA. The restaurant's arrival comes amid a positive trend for the West Loop area, which currently shows a 78% business activity level compared to pre-pandemic figures, outperforming other downtown submarkets.
West Loop residents and downtown workers can experience CAVA's signature build-your-own Mediterranean bowls and pitas featuring fresh ingredients and bold flavors. The restaurant is part of Willis Tower's ongoing transformation into a community destination rather than just an office building, with more than 30 new restaurants and eateries opening downtown by year's end according to the Chicago Loop Alliance.
