Bronzeville's art scene is set to reach new heights this week as celebrated new media artist Martine Syms prepares to debut four site-specific art installations along North Avenue on Wednesday, November 12. The project represents an exciting collaboration between Sculpture Milwaukee and the Bronzeville Center for the Arts (BCA), bringing together Sculpture Milwaukee's recognized outdoor exhibition program with BCA's commitment to celebrating African American art.
Syms, who once ran an art bookstore in Chicago, is known for her thought-provoking work that examines Black identity and her own experiences as a Black female artist.
