Christkindlmarket Returns to Wrigleyville After Year-Long Hiatus

Lake View residents and visitors have a special reason to celebrate this holiday season as the beloved Christkindlmarket returns to Wrigleyville's Gallagher Way following a one-year absence. The popular German-inspired holiday market, which took a pause in 2024 to accommodate the NHL Winter Classic at Wrigley Field, will transform the area into a festive village from November 23 through December 31, 2025.

The Wrigleyville edition will feature more than 25 international and local vendors offering handcrafted ornaments, unique gifts, and seasonal treats. "The magical holiday look and atmosphere is what ties all of our Christkindlmarkets together, but each location has its own unique charm," market organizers explained. Visitors can warm up with traditional German fare including bratwurst, roasted nuts, and steaming mugs of glühwein served in collectible souvenir mugs while enjoying the market's festive atmosphere.

Admission to the market is free, making it an accessible holiday activity for all Lake View residents. The market will operate Monday through Thursday from 3 PM to 9 PM, Friday and Saturday from 11 AM to 10 PM, and Sunday from 11 AM to 7 PM, with special hours on holidays.
