New DivaDance Studio Brings Rhythm and Confidence to Bronzeville

Bronzeville residents have a vibrant new addition to the neighborhood with the recent opening of DivaDance Bronzeville at 4657 S. Drexel Blvd. The international dance franchise, which focuses on confidence-boosting classes, established its South Side location last month, offering locals a fresh way to stay active while having fun.

Started by Jami Stigliano in 2003, DivaDance has grown to include 60 studios across the United States and one in Mexico. The Bronzeville studio features a diverse range of offerings from line-dancing to monthly "Inspired By Beyonce" dance-offs. New participants can try a class for free before committing to membership, making it accessible for everyone regardless of dance experience.

Meanwhile, local entrepreneurs continue to find new resources in the neighborhood through the Illinois Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Build Bronzeville. The center, which is part of Build Bronzeville's comprehensive community development initiatives, provides confidential business guidance, training, and various resources to both start-up and existing small businesses in the area. Community members interested in starting or expanding a business are encouraged to register as clients and connect with the center, which draws on resources from The Bronzeville Incubator, Boxville shipping container market, and other local development programs to serve the community at large.
