Ravenswood to Host Second Annual Careers in Manufacturing Mixer at Dovetail Brewery This Month

Ravenswood's thriving industrial corridor is set to showcase career opportunities at the second annual Careers in Manufacturing Mixer, scheduled for November 18 at Dovetail Brewery. The event connects local industrial business leaders with community members interested in manufacturing careers in a relaxed, happy-hour atmosphere.

The Greater Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce is partnering with Jane Addams Resource Corporation, Dovetail Brewery, and the Chicago Department of Planning and Development to host this networking event. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from numerous local manufacturers, including Accurate Products, BrightBot, and S&C Electric Company. The event will also feature information stations from JARC Training and Central States SER offering resources for career development in the manufacturing sector.

This initiative highlights Ravenswood's unique position as both a craft brewing destination and manufacturing hub. "The combination of available facilities, necessary zoning and infrastructure, city resources, access to public transit, and a supportive residential community creates ideal conditions for both manufacturers and breweries," noted a Chamber spokesperson.
