New 'Craft & Clay' Pottery Studio to Open in Lakeview This December

Lakeview's art scene continues to expand with the upcoming opening of 'Craft & Clay,' a new pottery studio that will join established community favorites like Kidcreate Studio, Glazed Expressions, and The Pottery Studio. The new studio, set to open in early December at 3215 N. Southport Avenue, aims to provide a creative space for both beginners and experienced potters.

Studio founder Emma Rhodes, a ceramics artist with over 15 years of experience, envisions Craft & Clay as a welcoming, inclusive teaching studio that builds on community growth and creativity. "We want to create a space where everyone from first-time potters to advanced makers can explore their creativity through clay," Rhodes explained. The studio will offer a variety of classes, workshops, and open studio hours to accommodate different schedules and skill levels. Lakeview residents interested in learning more or signing up for inaugural classes can visit the studio's website or attend their pre-opening open house on November 30th from 1-5pm, where visitors can tour the space, meet instructors, and enjoy complimentary refreshments.
