Albany Park to Host Special Taste of Chicago Festival This August with Free Dance Lessons

Albany Park residents can mark their calendars for a special culinary celebration this summer as the neighborhood prepares to host its own Taste of Chicago event on Saturday, August 9, 2025. This extension of the city's flagship food festival will showcase the diverse flavors that make Albany Park one of Chicago's most multicultural communities.

The event, organized by the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE), will feature local restaurants offering specialty dishes alongside Chicago SummerDance, which will provide free dance lessons taught by professional instructors with no experience required. "From world-class music festivals to neighborhood celebrations, Chicago continues to be a premier destination for unforgettable experiences," said Mayor Brandon Johnson when announcing this year's festival lineup. The Albany Park event is one of three neighborhood Taste events happening across the city this summer, with others taking place in Marquette Park (June 28) and Pullman Park (July 19).
