By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Andersonville ·
Andersonville's first-ever Autumn Restaurant Week is proving to be a resounding success, with seventeen local eateries participating in the inaugural fall dining event. Running through November 9, the celebration has expanded on the neighborhood's traditional winter restaurant week held in February for the past decade, offering prix-fixe menus ranging from $20 for lunch to $48 for dinner.
Restaurant Week has already drawn significant foot traffic to the Clark Street corridor, with participating establishments including longtime favorites like Big Jones (5347 N. Clark St.), featuring their renowned fried chicken, and Tanoshii Sushi (5547 N. Clark St.) introducing a new hibachi-style lunch option. New businesses are also joining the festivities, including The Nook, a recently opened cocktail club participating with a specialty flight. For budget-conscious diners, several venues offer affordable options, including Pizza Lobo's
Residents still have time to support local businesses during what can be a challenging economic season before the event concludes this weekend. Last year's winter version attracted approximately 70,000 visitors to the neighborhood, and early indications suggest the autumn edition may exceed those numbers. For a complete list of participating restaurants and their special menus, Andersonville residents can visit the Chamber of Commerce website.
