McKinley Park Ice Rink Set for Holiday Season Opening with New Pre-Registration System

McKinley Park residents will soon have another winter recreation option as the neighborhood's beloved ice skating rink is scheduled to open on Friday, November 28, 2025, and operate through February 17, 2026, weather permitting. This year introduces a new pre-registration system, with regular hours starting December 1 and continuing through January 18, followed by weekend-only operations.
The Chicago Park District has implemented a new reservation process for all programs, including open skate sessions. Residents can secure their skating times when reservations are released on a rolling basis at noon on Mondays for sessions running two weeks later.
