Hyde Park Art Center Gala Raises Record $515,000, Largest Crowd Since Pre-Pandemic

The Hyde Park Art Center (HPAC) broke fundraising records at its annual gala last Saturday, raising $515,000 to support its community arts programs. The November 15 event, which honored acclaimed artist Amanda Williams and arts leader Esther Grimm, drew over 300 attendees—the largest crowd since before the COVID-19 pandemic.

The successful fundraising exceeded both last year's total of $458,000 and this year's goal of $450,000, providing crucial support for the Art Center's contribute-what-you-can class model adopted in 2024. This model has increased participation in art classes more than tenfold by removing financial barriers. Attendees experienced interactive artist interventions, performances by resident artists, and a special exhibition showcasing local talent.
