Northwest Art Trail in Jefferson Park Expands with Five New Sculptures, Dedication Ceremony Planned for This Weekend

Jefferson Park residents will soon have new reasons to explore their neighborhood as the Northwest Art Trail has been expanded with five additional sculptures along Milwaukee Avenue. The dedication ceremony for these new artistic installations will take place this Saturday, November 23, at 10 a.m. at Parkway Bank, 4858 N. Milwaukee Ave., hosted by State Senator Robert Martwick and Arts Alive Chicago.

The art trail, which connects Jefferson Park and Portage Park business districts, features both abstract and traditional sculptures celebrating the area's cultural heritage. "Art is essential," said Senator Martwick, who helped conceive and launch the Northwest Art Trail. The expanded trail aims to increase foot traffic to local businesses while highlighting the area's rich arts scene, including venues like the Filament Theatre, Gift Theatre, Copernicus Center, and Paschke Art Center.

Community members are encouraged to attend Saturday's dedication ceremony to learn about the sculptures and support this exciting addition to Jefferson Park's cultural landscape. Trail markers will be installed on businesses along the route, making it easy for residents and visitors to follow the path and discover both art and local establishments. This initiative represents another positive step in Jefferson Park's ongoing community revitalization efforts.
