New Indoor Winter Farmers Market Launches This Saturday in Irving Park

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Irving Park ·

Irving Park residents have a new weekend destination to look forward to as the neighborhood welcomes its first dedicated indoor winter farmers market this Saturday, November 22. Located at the Irving Park Field House at 3945 N. Springfield Avenue, the market will operate weekly from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM through March 2026.

The indoor market features over a dozen local vendors offering seasonal produce, artisanal baked goods, specialty meats, and handcrafted items. Organizers have arranged for live music, free yoga sessions at 10:00 AM (weather permitting in adjacent indoor spaces), and family-friendly activities to create a vibrant community atmosphere. The market also participates in the Link Match program, which doubles SNAP benefits up to $25 per visit, making fresh, local food more accessible to all neighborhood residents.

"We've heard from so many neighbors who wanted a year-round option to purchase local food without having to travel to other neighborhoods during winter months," said market coordinator Emily Richter. Residents interested in volunteering or becoming vendors for future market dates can find more information on the Irving Park Community Association website or by visiting the market information booth during Saturday hours.
