Bucktown's Winter Wonderland to Transform Neighborhood with Holiday Magic on December 6

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Bucktown ·

Bucktown residents can kick off the holiday season at the neighborhood's annual Winter Wonderland and Tree Lighting celebration on Saturday, December 6. The Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce is organizing this free, family-friendly event that will transform the area into a festive holiday destination from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The day-long celebration will feature a variety of activities including photos with beloved holiday characters, DIY s'mores stations, holiday rickshaw rides, and a special Grinch-themed scavenger hunt where kids can win a shopping spree while parents explore special in-store deals at local businesses. Live holiday music and carolers will provide a cheerful soundtrack throughout the day, with free hot cocoa stations to keep everyone warm. The festivities will culminate with a grand tree lighting ceremony at the Wicker Park Field House, officially ushering in the holiday season for the community.

This collaborative effort between the Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce, SSA #33, the Wicker Park Advisory Board, and Chicago Park District demonstrates the strong community partnerships that make Bucktown such a vibrant neighborhood. Families and neighbors are encouraged to bundle up and join in what has become one of the area's most anticipated holiday traditions, celebrating both the season and the unique character of Bucktown.
