Once completed, the renovated space will feature 12-14 soundproof rehearsal spaces, a flexible 2,200-square-foot event area for performances and workshops, and a storefront with dedicated pop-up space for local vendors. "We are particularly looking for arts and culture nonprofits, arts collectives, venue curators, music production studios and other folks that are open to collaboration and building community around the performing arts in Albany Park," said developer James Yelen. The project demonstrates a commitment to equity by supporting BIPOC-led small businesses and arts nonprofits through affordable leases and tenant improvement funds.
