Pilsen's National Museum of Mexican Art to Host GRABADOLANDIA Print Fair: A Weekend Celebration of Printmaking
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Pilsen ·
Art enthusiasts and holiday shoppers alike have a unique opportunity to experience the rich tradition of printmaking this November in Pilsen. The National Museum of Mexican Art will host GRABADOLANDIA, an immersive weekend celebration of print arts culminating in a special vendor fair on Sunday, November 24.
The event, which hasn't been featured at the museum before, will transform the institution into a hub of artistic activity with exhibitions, artist talks, and educational print demonstrations throughout the weekend. Sunday's print market at the museum (1852 W. 19th St.) will showcase works from numerous printmakers while offering visitors a chance to participate in hands-on print demos and enter a print raffle. This celebration adds to Pilsen's growing reputation as a center for artistic innovation and cultural preservation in Chicago.
Pilsen residents and visitors from across Chicago are encouraged to attend this free event, which perfectly complements the museum's current "Día de Muertos: A Celebration of Remembrance" exhibition running through December 14. With the museum's commitment to accessibility (admission is always free), this weekend of printmaking represents an ideal opportunity to support local artists while exploring one of the neighborhood's most treasured cultural institutions.
