Ecclection Boutique Expands to Larger Location in Portage Park: Local Resale Shop Showcases Neighborhood Artisans
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Portage Park ·
A beloved neighborhood gem is growing roots in Portage Park as Ecclection, the quirky resale shop known for its eclectic mix of vintage goods, recently relocated to a larger storefront at 6059 W. Irving Park Road. The boutique, which originally opened in the area two years ago, moved to its expanded location last March to accommodate its growing collection of unique offerings.
The shop has become a showcase for local talent, featuring handcrafted items from neighborhood artisans alongside vintage clothing and one-of-a-kind treasures. Owner Julie Alleyne stocks the shelves with everything from eyeball lamps to candles that resemble pints of beer, as well as artisanal soaps from Englewood-based Englewood Essentials and hand-crocheted bandanas created by Northwest Side-based GiGi's Creations. With the holiday season approaching, Ecclection has extended its hours through Christmas, welcoming shoppers Wednesday through Friday from noon to 6 p.m. and Saturday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Residents looking to support local businesses while finding unique gifts can explore this expanded neighborhood treasure and other Portage Park shops featured in the area's holiday shopping guides. The growth of Ecclection represents the continued vitality of Portage Park's small business community, offering residents more opportunities to shop locally and support neighborhood entrepreneurs.
