Garfield Ridge Prepares for Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration on December 6th

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Garfield Ridge ·

The Garfield Ridge Neighborhood Watch (GRNW) is putting final touches on preparations for their 10th Annual Tree Lighting ceremony, scheduled for Saturday, December 6th. This beloved community tradition brings neighbors together for a festive celebration marking the beginning of the holiday season in one of Chicago's most community-focused Southwest Side neighborhoods.

The event, which is free of charge and open to all community members, is made possible through donations from gold sponsors including Ridge Funeral Home, Mike Riordan State Farm, All Exterior Contractors, and local elected officials. Residents looking to get involved can attend the final GRNW meeting of the year, happening this week at St. Faustina Ward Hall, where volunteers will discuss additional holiday programming including the upcoming 'Santa on the Firetruck' festivities scheduled for mid-December.

Garfield Ridge residents interested in participating in these upcoming community gatherings or learning about other neighborhood initiatives are encouraged to visit the GRNW website, which maintains a comprehensive calendar of events. Now in its 17th year of fostering community connections, the organization continues its tradition of bringing neighbors together through accessible programming that strengthens neighborhood bonds throughout the winter season.
