Dēliz Italian Steakhouse to Transform Former etta Space in Bucktown This December
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Bucktown ·
Bucktown's vibrant culinary landscape is set to welcome an exciting new addition as Dēliz Italian Steakhouse prepares to open its doors in early December at 1840 W. North Avenue. The highly anticipated concept from restaurateur Steve Gogolab and chef-partner Jake Peterson will transform the space currently occupied by etta restaurant, bringing wood-fired Italian cuisine with a steakhouse flair to the neighborhood.
Dēliz will showcase an impressive menu centered around family-style dining with premium steak cuts from Midwest suppliers and an exclusive selection of 100% full-blooded wagyu from Australia—available to only a handful of restaurants nationwide. Neighborhood diners can look forward to standout dishes including charred octopus, 40-ounce tomahawk steaks, Buffalo ricotta gnocchi in vodka pomodoro sauce, and spectacular wood-fired shellfish elevations featuring king crab, Maine lobster, and wild blue shrimp. Each dish will be meticulously prepared on custom-made Argentinian-style grills crafted by Grillworks in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
The opening of Dēliz continues the dining renaissance that has transformed Bucktown into what Chicago Magazine's dining critic John Kessler recently described as "one of the most interesting places for new restaurants to land." Bucktown residents and visitors can follow @delizitalian on Instagram for behind-the-scenes previews and launch details as the neighborhood eagerly awaits this sophisticated new dining destination.
