Irving Park Winter Farmers Market Expands with Holiday Artisan Showcase for November
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Irving Park ·
Irving Park residents braving the late fall chill will find a warm community welcome at the neighborhood's expanded Winter Farmers Market, which kicked off its special holiday season programming this weekend at the Irving Park Field House. The market, running Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM through March 2026, has enhanced its winter offerings with a new holiday artisan showcase featuring local craftspeople alongside the regular vendors.
The expanded market builds on its successful summer season by introducing heated tents that allow shoppers to browse comfortably while enjoying seasonal offerings including locally produced holiday foods, handcrafted gifts, and winter produce. Visitors this Saturday can also enjoy free hot chocolate, live acoustic music from local musicians, and a special cooking demonstration featuring seasonal vegetables from participating farms.
"We wanted to create a vibrant winter gathering place that celebrates our local food system while supporting small businesses during the holiday season," said market coordinator Emily Richter. Residents can learn more about upcoming special events, including December's Holiday Gift Workshop, by visiting the market information booth or checking the Irving Park Community Association website.
