Plan Commission Approves 29-Story Mixed-Use Tower for West Loop, Creating New Public Green Space

The Chicago Plan Commission has approved an exciting new mixed-use development at 1200 W. Carroll Avenue in the West Loop. The 29-story tower, led by Thomas Roszak of TR Management + Consulting, will transform a vacant property at the northwest corner of W. Carroll Avenue and N. Racine Avenue into a vibrant community space.
The approved project features 397 residential units, including 80 affordable units, approximately 16,000 square feet of retail space, and extensive green space that will serve as a public amenity. The large open space at the corner will be surrounded by greenery, planters with benches, and trellises, with plans to host farmer's markets, concerts, and movie nights for community enjoyment.
