Lurie Children's Hospital Expands Healthcare Access with New Schaumburg Outpatient Center

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, a cornerstone healthcare institution in Streeterville, has officially opened its new 75,000-square-foot outpatient center in Schaumburg. The ribbon-cutting ceremony for this significant expansion took place on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at the new facility located at 1895 Arbor Glen Blvd. in Schaumburg, Illinois.
This expansion comes as Lurie Children's continues to strengthen its reputation for excellence, having recently been recognized in the 2025-2026 U.S. News & World Report Best Children's Hospital rankings. The Streeterville-based medical center maintained its position as the #1 ranked children's hospital in Illinois and achieved the distinction of being the only children's hospital in the state ranked in all 11 medical specialties evaluated. The hospital brings together more than 70 pediatric specialties focused on delivering compassionate, expert care for children.
