Construction Begins as Demolition Complete for Mixed-Use Development at 3664 N. Lincoln Avenue
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/North Center ·
North Center residents will soon see a new addition to the Lincoln Avenue corridor as demolition has been completed at 3664 N. Lincoln Avenue, making way for a modern five-story mixed-use building. The project, developed by Centrum Realty & Development and designed by Hirsch MPG, will bring 16 new apartments and 1,773 square feet of retail space to the southwest corner of Lincoln and Waveland Avenues.
The development, which received City Council approval in July, features a thoughtful design that takes advantage of the wedge-shaped lot. Four of the units will be designated as affordable housing, while all apartments will include private balconies. The building's location offers excellent transportation options for future residents, with the Addison Brown Line station just two blocks away and multiple bus routes nearby.
Construction is expected to begin this fall, with an anticipated completion date in early 2027. Local residents interested in the retail opportunities or looking to follow the construction progress can contact the Northcenter Chamber of Commerce for updates as this latest addition to the neighborhood takes shape.
