Bucktown's Winter Wonderland Returns with Expanded Holiday Activities for December 6

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Bucktown ·

The Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce is preparing for an enhanced Winter Wonderland celebration on Saturday, December 6, transforming the neighborhood into a festive holiday destination from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This free community event will feature several new additions for 2025, including holiday rickshaw rides throughout the neighborhood, DIY s'mores stations, and an interactive Grinch-themed scavenger hunt offering children a chance to win a local shopping spree.

Families can enjoy activities at multiple locations throughout Bucktown and Wicker Park, with a special "Wonderland Map" guiding visitors to themed stops including the North Pole and Whoville. While children participate in holiday magic, parents can take advantage of exclusive in-store promotions from local businesses along the shopping corridors. The day-long celebration will culminate with the annual tree lighting ceremony at the Wicker Park Field House, featuring live holiday music and carolers.

"This year's Winter Wonderland celebrates both the holiday spirit and our vibrant local businesses," said Pamela Maass, Executive Director of the Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce. Neighbors and visitors are encouraged to mark their calendars for this beloved community tradition that perfectly captures the neighborhood's creative, family-friendly character while supporting small businesses during the crucial holiday shopping season.
