Annual Lakeview Menorah Lighting Ceremony Set to Illuminate Lincoln & Marshfield on December 25th

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Lake View ·

Lake View residents will gather for a festive community celebration as the Annual Lakeview Menorah Lighting Ceremony returns to the intersection of Lincoln & Marshfield on Wednesday, December 25th, marking the first night of Chanukah. Organized by The Chabad of Lakeview and funded by Special Service Area (SSA) 27, this beloved tradition brings neighbors together to celebrate the Festival of Lights.

Families attending the ceremony can look forward to holiday festivities, seasonal treats, and complimentary gift bags courtesy of SSA 27. After the menorah lighting, attendees will proceed to the Lake View YMCA for additional celebrations, including games, activities, and food. The event will also feature a book and coat drive, allowing community members to give back during the holiday season, while KidCreate Art Studio will host a special make-your-own-menorah craft activity for children.

The menorah lighting represents one of many festive community gatherings taking place throughout Lake View this holiday season. Residents looking for more information about this and other neighborhood events can visit the Lakeview Roscoe Village Chamber of Commerce website or the SSA 27 website for complete details on holiday celebrations across the community.
