McKinley Park's 'Trash People' to Celebrate Community Cleanup Efforts at Rescheduled December Bash

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Mckinley Park ·

McKinley Park residents committed to neighborhood beautification will gather to celebrate their environmental stewardship at the rescheduled Trash Bash on Friday, December 12, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Marz Community Brewing Co. The event, organized by the aptly named 'Trash People of McKinley Park,' marks the culmination of a successful cleanup season that has helped maintain the neighborhood's public spaces throughout 2025.

Originally scheduled for November 21, the rescheduled celebration invites both seasoned cleanup volunteers and newcomers interested in joining future efforts to enjoy an evening of games, prizes, and camaraderie. Attendees will receive a complimentary first drink courtesy of Marz Community Brewing, which continues to serve as a cultural hub for the neighborhood from its location at 3630 S. Iron St. "We'll have games, prizes, and nothing but TOMFOOLERY with some down-to-earth people," event organizers promised in their announcement.

Neighborhood residents interested in attending the Trash Bash or learning more about joining the regular community cleanup initiatives can simply show up at the event or connect with the Trash People of McKinley Park through social media. The gathering provides a perfect opportunity for environmentally-conscious neighbors to network while supporting one of the area's most popular local breweries that actively promotes building "the community of the future."
