Artists Book House Announces Special December Workshop Series for Treewhispers Exhibition

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Irving Park ·

Irving Park residents have a unique cultural opportunity this month as Artists Book House expands its popular Treewhispers exhibition with a special series of December workshops. The exhibition, which celebrates its landmark 25th anniversary in 2025, features handmade paper rounds that form an ever-evolving 'paper forest' showcasing the profound connection between trees and humanity.

The December workshop series includes specialized sessions on paper-making techniques and artistic expression, building on the exhibition's interactive nature. 'We've seen tremendous community interest since opening in January,' says exhibition coordinator Killian Rogers. 'These December workshops offer neighbors a meaningful creative experience during the holiday season.' The Artists Book House, founded by bestselling author Audrey Niffenegger, continues to establish itself as a vital cultural hub at its 4207 W. Irving Park Road location.

Irving Park residents interested in experiencing this unique artistic celebration can email [email protected] to schedule a visit or register for upcoming workshops. The exhibition will continue through March 2026, with a special closing reception planned for the spring featuring Columbia College alumni and community members who have contributed to this collaborative artistic journey.
