Vittum Park Launches First Holiday Craft Workshop Series for Garfield Ridge Families
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Garfield Ridge ·
Garfield Ridge families can develop their creative skills this holiday season as Vittum Park announces a new Holiday Craft Workshop Series beginning December 8, 2025. The Chicago Park District's 13-acre community hub at 4556 W 56th St will host weekly craft sessions designed to bring neighbors together while creating handmade holiday decorations and gifts.
Park Supervisor Miguel Campos says the workshops build on the community's enthusiastic response to other seasonal activities. "After seeing how much residents enjoyed our other holiday offerings, we wanted to provide a hands-on creative experience right here in the neighborhood," Campos explained. The series will feature different craft projects each week, including ornament making, wreath decorating, and handmade card workshops, with materials provided through partnership with local businesses.
Garfield Ridge residents interested in participating in the free Holiday Craft Workshop Series can register through the Chicago Park District website or in person at the Vittum Park fieldhouse. Space is limited to 25 participants per session, with separate workshops for children, families, and adults throughout December.
