Vittum Park Launches Special 'Holiday Workshop Wednesdays' for Garfield Ridge Families This December
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Garfield Ridge ·
Garfield Ridge families seeking creative holiday activities close to home can now mark their calendars for a new weekly tradition at Vittum Park. The Chicago Park District has announced 'Holiday Workshop Wednesdays' at the 13-acre community hub located at 4556 W 56th St, offering residents a perfect opportunity to embrace the festive season right in their neighborhood.
The spacious Vittum Park fieldhouse, which features a gymnasium, kitchen and meeting rooms, will transform into a holiday craft and activity center each Wednesday evening in December. These special events build on the park's tradition of hosting 'fun special events throughout the year for the whole family, such as holiday special events' in the Garfield Ridge community. Activities will vary each week but may include festive craft-making, holiday-themed games, seasonal music, and winter refreshments. As the Chicago Park District notes about their holiday programming across the city, 'Throughout the holiday season, a variety of events are hosted in the parks in celebration of this special time of year' with activities that include 'making holiday crafts, and enjoying live holiday music.'
Garfield Ridge residents interested in participating in the Holiday Workshop Wednesdays can register through the Chicago Park District website or visit the Vittum Park fieldhouse directly for more information. All activities are family-friendly and designed to bring neighbors together during the festive winter season. The first workshop begins Wednesday, December 10, at 6:00 PM.
