The Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago is bringing extra warmth to Streeterville this winter with the announcement of a special holiday art series launching Thursday, December 11, 2025. Located at 220 E. Chicago Avenue, the museum will offer extended Thursday evening hours until 9 p.m. throughout December, creating new opportunities for neighborhood residents to experience world-class exhibitions including the acclaimed 'Yoko Ono: Music of the Mind' and 'City in a Garden: Queer Art and Activism in Chicago.'

The winter series includes interactive workshops designed specifically for families, featuring hands-on art activities, local artist spotlights, and seasonal refreshments in the Commons area. "We're creating meaningful opportunities for connection through art during the winter months," explained Museum Director Madeleine Grynsztejn, highlighting how these evening events will utilize various spaces throughout the museum. The initiative builds on the success of programs like Tuesdays on the Terrace, which has made the MCA a vibrant community hub.

Streeterville residents are encouraged to mark their calendars for the kickoff event on December 11, which will feature collaborative art installations and family-friendly activities. With its prime location just blocks from Michigan Avenue, the MCA continues to serve as both a destination for visitors and a welcoming community space for locals to gather and experience contemporary creativity during the winter season.
