Winter Wonder Market Debuts on Near West Side's Fulton Street This December

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Near West Side ·

The Near West Side is embracing the holiday spirit with the inaugural Winter Wonder Market launching this weekend on Fulton Street. Following the success of September's West Loop Music & Art Fest, the West Central Association is transforming Fulton Market into a festive winter wonderland from December 7-8, 2025, featuring local artisans, seasonal food vendors, and community performances.

The market will showcase over 50 local creators offering unique holiday gifts, from handcrafted jewelry and textiles to original artwork and home décor. "We wanted to create a festive community space that highlights our neighborhood's creative talent while providing residents with an opportunity to shop local this holiday season," explains Patti Doyle, Executive Director of the West Central Association. Family-friendly activities include an interactive arts area for children, hot chocolate stations, and live acoustic performances from Near West Side musicians.

Community members are encouraged to participate in the "Warmth Drive" during the market, where visitors can donate new or gently used winter accessories to benefit local shelters. The Winter Wonder Market is accessible via the Morgan Green/Pink Line station and runs from 11am-7pm both Saturday and Sunday. For more information about participating vendors or volunteer opportunities, residents can contact the West Central Association.
