Guinness Open Gate Brewery Unveils Winter Garden Experience in West Loop
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/West Loop ·
The Guinness Open Gate Brewery in West Loop is transforming its space for the holiday season, creating a cozy winter retreat for neighborhood residents and visitors alike. The brewery, which brought a taste of Ireland to Chicago when it opened in the historic 1908 Pennsylvania Railroad depot, has quickly become a beloved community fixture.
The winter garden experience proudly blends Guinness's 260 years of tradition with unique Chicago culture and creativity. Visitors can enjoy the brewery's special seasonal menu in the transformed space featuring locally sourced ingredients and holiday-inspired brews. The venue's bakery, the first-ever Guinness bakery in the world, is offering festive treats including special edition Brewers Bread and holiday pastries created in partnership with local favorite Aya Pastry. West Loop residents are encouraged to visit the winter garden throughout December, with special community events planned each weekend leading up to the holidays, including live music, artisan markets, and charitable initiatives supporting the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
