Lincoln Park welcomed its newest sweet spot as New York-based Levain Bakery officially opened its doors at 849 W. Armitage Avenue, drawing enthusiastic crowds eager to sample the bakery's famous six-ounce cookies. Founded by Pam Weekes and Connie McDonald, who were on-site for the celebration, this marks Levain's third Chicago location following successful openings in the West Loop and River North.
The new bakery, situated just west of the bustling Halsted and Armitage intersection, offers Lincoln Park residents access to Levain's complete menu of oversized cookies in seven flavors, including their signature Chocolate Chip Walnut and newer Caramel Coconut Chocolate Chip. Beyond cookies, neighbors can enjoy freshly made pastries, artisanal breads, loaf cakes, and sticky buns in the welcoming space.
"We are thrilled to join the Lincoln Park community," shared Steph Menke, Levain's Chief Strategy and Real Estate Officer. Residents looking to experience these celebrated treats can visit the bakery during regular hours, joining what has quickly become one of the neighborhood's most popular destinations. The opening further strengthens Lincoln Park's reputation as a premier Chicago food destination, with the Armitage corridor continuing to attract notable national brands to its vibrant retail landscape.
