Ravenswood Light Up Nights Festival Returns for 6th Annual Holiday Celebration This Saturday

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Ravenswood ·

Ravenswood residents are preparing to embrace the holiday spirit at the 6th annual Ravenswood Light Up Nights Festival + Holiday Market this Saturday, December 6th from 3pm to 7pm. This free community celebration will transform Wilson Avenue between Ravenswood and Hermitage into a festive winter wonderland for one night only.

The family-friendly event features a robust lineup of seasonal activities including live music performances, an indoor holiday market with local artisans, food and drink vendors, restaurant specials, a children's scavenger hunt, photo stations, and a special tree lighting ceremony. New additions this year include ice sculpting demonstrations and expanded vendor participation with businesses like The Art Bear, Christmas Trees Chicago, Lincoln Ice Cream Company, and Pride Coffee Roasters showcasing their offerings. The Ravenswood Neighbors Association has organized this growing tradition as a way to bring neighbors together while supporting local businesses during the holiday season.

Community members are encouraged to bundle up and join the festivities that kick off the holiday season in Ravenswood. With free hot cocoa stations, caroling, visits with Santa, and more, this celebration offers something for everyone. For more information about participating vendors and the full schedule of activities, residents can visit the Ravenswood Neighbors Association website.
