Bucktown UPS Store Reopens Under New Ownership After Year-Long Closure
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Bucktown ·
Bucktown residents and local businesses have reason to celebrate this December as the neighborhood UPS Store at 1658 N. Milwaukee Avenue reopens its doors after a year-long closure. The store, which had been shuttered since December 2024 due to licensing issues, is now under new management with ILKA Enterprises Bucktown LLC taking over as franchise owner.
The reopening, expected next week according to UPS spokesperson Casey Sorrell, comes just in time for the holiday shipping season. "The UPS Store will offer products and services including packing, shipping, shredding, notary, printing, and much more, with the same world-class customer service The UPS Store is known for," Sorrell confirmed. The new owners, who also operate a UPS Store in suburban Oak Lawn, were issued business licenses on October 23, paving the way for the revival of this essential neighborhood service hub.
The return of this vital shipping center adds to the vibrant commercial recovery taking place throughout Bucktown, particularly as the neighborhood prepares for its annual Winter Wonderland celebration on December 6. Local businesses and residents alike can once again enjoy convenient access to shipping and business services right in the heart of the community.
