Chick-fil-A Announces December 11 Opening in Hyde Park, Pledges $25,000 to Combat Local Hunger

Hyde Park residents will soon have a new dining option as Chick-fil-A prepares to open its doors at 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2025. Local entrepreneur Victor Golden has been selected as the owner-operator of the new restaurant, bringing the popular chicken chain to the neighborhood for the first time.

As part of its commitment to the community, Chick-fil-A, Inc. will celebrate the opening with a $25,000 donation to Feeding America, which will support hunger relief efforts at The Greater Chicago Food Depository. The restaurant will also participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program, an initiative that redirects surplus food to local nonprofits. In Hyde Park, excess food will be donated to Pacific Garden Mission, contributing to a program that has created over 42 million meals nationwide.
