Holiday Skate with Santa Returns to McKinley Park Ice Rink This Sunday

McKinley Park residents looking for festive winter activities can lace up their skates this weekend for a special holiday event at the neighborhood's beloved ice rink. The Chicago Park District will host 'Holiday Skate with Santa' from noon to 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 7, at the McKinley Park Ice Rink located at 3801 S. Western Boulevard.

This family-friendly celebration offers community members the opportunity to glide across the ice alongside Santa Claus while enjoying complimentary treats (while supplies last). Children can also write and send letters to the North Pole during the event. The Park District has ensured the gathering will be accessible to everyone, with sled-assisted skating available upon request to support participants of all abilities.

The festive skating session marks one of several winter activities planned at McKinley Park, which features a 71-acre green space that transforms into a seasonal recreation hub during the colder months.
