Dēliz Italian Steakhouse Opens Its Doors in Bucktown, Bringing Wood-Fired Cuisine to North Avenue

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Bucktown ·

Bucktown's dining scene has a delicious new addition with Dēliz Italian Steakhouse now officially open at 1840 W. North Avenue. The newly opened neighborhood restaurant comes from restaurateur Steve Gogolab, chef partner Jakob Peterson, pastry chef Jessica Scott, beverage lead Omar Douglas, and general manager Matt Ivanovich.

The restaurant, which opened in early December, features a menu anchored by premium Midwest steaks and a rare selection of 100% full-blooded Australian Wagyu available to only a handful of restaurants nationwide. Diners can enjoy standout dishes including charred octopus, buffalo ricotta gnocchi, shellfish and a 40-ounce Tomahawk steak served with garlic and herb butter. The spacious venue features a 240-seat dining room on its ground floor and a more casual upstairs bar that stays open late, complemented by classic cocktails and wines from Italian and New World producers.

"It's done through hospitality," Gogolab explained about the restaurant's concept. "We want people to come in here, whether it's families or celebrities... everyone feels like they're part of one social dining experience." Bucktown residents looking for a new date night destination or celebration spot can visit Dēliz to experience their wood-fired cuisine in what promises to be an exciting addition to the neighborhood's growing reputation as a dining destination.
