Oakland's 'Winter Market Festival' Set to Transform Mandrake Park This December

Oakland residents can look forward to a festive community gathering as Mandrake Park hosts its first Winter Market Festival on Saturday, December 13, 2025. The special event, organized by the Kenwood Oakland Community Organization (KOCO), will transform the park into a vibrant marketplace featuring local artisans, food vendors, and family activities from noon until 6 p.m.

KOCO, a grassroots membership-based organization with strong ties to both Bronzeville and Oakland areas, is expanding their community programming beyond their popular summer KOCO Fest. The Winter Market Festival will include seasonal treats, craft workshops, and a special holiday gift drive benefiting local families. This new seasonal celebration builds on Mandrake Park's tradition of hosting special events throughout the year, including gym showcases and movie screenings that help foster community connections.
