Ravenswood Light Up Nights Festival Returns with Ice Sculpting and Expanded Holiday Market
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Ravenswood ·
Ravenswood residents are preparing for a festive celebration as the neighborhood's 6th annual Light Up Nights Festival + Holiday Market returns on Saturday, December 6th, from 3pm to 7pm. This free community event will transform Wilson Avenue between Ravenswood and Hermitage into a winter wonderland for one night only, featuring live music, an indoor holiday market, food and drink vendors, restaurant specials, and seasonal activities.
The family-friendly celebration includes a variety of engaging activities such as a kids' scavenger hunt, photo stations, a tree lighting ceremony, free hot cocoa stations, caroling, and visits with Santa. New additions to this year's event include ice sculpting demonstrations and an expanded vendor lineup featuring local businesses such as The Art Bear, Christmas Trees Chicago, Lincoln Ice Cream Company, and Pride Coffee Roasters. The festival will also feature a community raffle and neighborhood decorating competition that encourages residents to showcase their holiday creativity.
Organized by the Ravenswood Neighbors Association, this growing tradition has become a highlight of the neighborhood's holiday season, bringing neighbors together while supporting local businesses. Residents looking for unique holiday gifts or simply wanting to enjoy seasonal festivities with neighbors are encouraged to bundle up and join the celebration that kicks off Ravenswood's holiday season in style.
